Nitrile rubber

Most of the Nitrile rubber sealants used are Nitrile rubber 40, which represents 40% acrylonitrile content. This rubber has good polarity, elasticity, adhesion and other comprehensive properties. Its molecular weight is usually characterized by Mooney viscosity, and Nitrile rubber, as a bonding and sealing material, often uses products with Mooney viscosity of 70~80.

(2) Resin

The resins compatible with Nitrile rubber are mainly phenolic resin and epoxy resin, and the sealant is mainly phenolic resin. The main function of resin in adhesive is to improve the heat resistance, adhesion, stiffness, and crosslinking groups of the adhesive. While Nitrile rubber mainly provides the elasticity, oil resistance, medium resistance and fatigue performance of rubber, which complement each other to make the performance of nitrile sealant more perfect. The p-tert-butyophenol formaldehyde resin (2402 phenolic) commonly used in nitrile sealant is an oil soluble phenolic resin, which is soluble in benzene, ethyl acetate, cyclohexane, gasoline and vegetable oil. It has good heat resistance and aging resistance. It has good compatibility with Nitrile rubber and can be mixed in any proportion. Although it cannot vulcanize Nitrile rubber itself, it can vulcanize with Nitrile rubber in the presence of vulcanizing agent and accelerator.
